We decided to switch from Jostens to Walsworth primarily because upon performing trial runs with the software offered by both companies, we found the Online Design creation & submission tool easier to use than that of Jostens. We were not unhappy with Jostens, but knew that we needed to make the switch from hard copy proofs/submissions to an online tool. We publish a spring delivery book of 350-ish pages created by only ten students; working with hard copies proofs was too time consuming. We hoped this new way of doing things would save time, and it has. We haven’t had to spend as many late evenings and weekends in the yearbook room because the students can upload photos and work on their spreads from any internet connected computer. We recognize that Walsworth and Jostens are quite similar in their high levels of quality as well as pricing; so all other things being equal, we let the Online Design component sell us on which company to use. Additionally, the Walsworth representative I had worked with before was more personable and provided more reliable customer service.
